Here we go again with an old-school manga related post. This time it’s one of the best sports mangas called “Ashita no Joe”. This is the second oldest manga I ever read. The oldest ones are Japanese Batman stories.
For everyone who read 20th Century Boys it’s like a deed reading this manga to find out why the hell Endou Kenji (main char of 20thCB) calls himself Yabuki Joe who is the main character of Ashita no JOE. Well, I took this deed seriously and started reading last week although sports manga are one of my most hated ones (especially baseball related stuff). The reason I’m writing a fist look instead of a full review is that there are just 55 translated chapters out there.
At the waterfall of truth Naruto encounters his dark side wich which symbolizes his hatred inside him. Yami-Naruto tells the real one that if he makes a single mistake, the hatred of the Kyuubi will emerge with the dark side of Naruto. Suddenly Yami-Naruto starts attacking but Naruto repeals. They are both equally strong.
During the summer 2009 there was an anime whose title was as genius as promising: “Higashi no Eden”. I really couldn’t wait for the episodes to be subbed. Sadly this anime was just way to short. After the series finished, one movie was announced as a sequel to the anime. I think the producers realized that they couldn’t wrap up the story in 1.5 hours so they announced a second movie.
After Takisawa saved Japan from being attacked by missiles, he became a hero known as the “Air King”. The photo on which he stood on this old-school carousel aiming for the missiles appeared all over the internet and it became a symbol for revolution. But Takisawa somehow disappeared and left a message for Saki before erasing his memories telling her that they’d meet at the point where they journey began.
That big arm guy is fighting against the aliens from last the chapter.
With his arms he can even repel the aliens’ spinning wheels and their electric flashes. On top of that, he has the ability to shoot an energy beam out of his palm.
Yeeehaaa… this is my first anime review ever! Sorry for not coming up with a real introduction >_>
The story is about Karin who is a vampire but trust me she’s not a normal one. In fact she’s quite the opposite: She is a daywalker and lacks of the special vampire-abilities like erasing someone’s memory or flying. Once in a month her blood stars overflowing and she pours a huge amount of blood out of her nose.
One day Kenta, a new student in her class, gets to know her secret. Instead of getting his memories erased by Karin’s family, they start thinking that Kenta might be useful in covering up the blood when Karin gets her “days” n’stuff as they are sleeping the whole day.
